Yeah, their more pressing need is a starter with the regression of Lester and Arrieta, Lackey provides little for them. Quintana is a great get, but it's their weakness.

They're supposedly in on Darvish,Verlander and Gray. I don't really believe any of it honestly. A backup catcher and a lefty reliever, that's about all I expect.

Why?  There's still 10 days for someone to sweeten their offer.  Avila has been crushed for moving JD Martinez so early and not getting a better offer.  The only risk to waiting is Britton's forearm bothering him again in the next 10 days.
