Hellickson has been pitch efficient. While Vargas has pitched a pretty tough game, he won’t be able to go deep - 90 pitches in the 5th.

We currently have the fourth fewest runners left in scoring position per game.  Of course, I am not sure what that tells you exactly as the Dodgers are near the bottom of the list.

I think you have to look at it as the percentage of runners that get into scoring position that are left on base.

Hellickson had an ERA of 4.73 and a FIP of 5.51 in the NL.  Let's see how he looks at the end of September before signing him to a $50M contract.
