1.  Yu Darvish – Cubs.  Six years, $160MM.

4.  Jake Arrieta – Brewers.  Four years, $100MM.

5.  Masahiro Tanaka – Phillies.  Five years, $100MM.

9.  Lance Lynn – Rangers.  Four years, $56MM

11.  Alex Cobb – Twins.  Four years, $48MM.

21.  CC Sabathia – Yankees.  Two years, $24MM.

27.  Andrew Cashner – Athletics.  Two years, $20MM

29.  Tyler Chatwood – Phillies.  Three years, $20MM

31.  Jaime Garcia – Royals.  Two years, $16MM

33.  Jhoulys Chacin – Reds.  Two years, $14MM.

46.  Jason Vargas – Orioles.  One year, $10MM.

47.  Chris Tillman – Tigers.  One year, $10MM.

49.  Michael Pineda – Rays.  Two years, $6MM.

50.  Miles Mikolas – Padres.  Two years, $10MM.

At these rates the O's could sign:

Cashner  2/24

Chatwood 3/26

Garcia 2/20

No way would I sign Tillman 1/10

Better Tigers than for him to come back to the O's.

After those two miserable World Series starts, I'm skeptical that an owner gives Darvish that kind of money. Lots of talk of him tipping his pitches. Seems like a big risk to me.

If he is it's up to his coaches to see what he is doing and correct it. I'm not saying I want him joining the O's.

I would be happy with Chatwood, Garcia and a make good deal for Tillman. I might even take a chance on Pineda to recover and help us late in 18 and then 2019. Jon Jay makes a lot of sense as a 4th OFer and lefthanded bat. So does Jarrod Dyson, but Jay is the more complete player.

Not sure how CarGo makes sense for the Orioles at all. I don't expect DD to sign an outfielder at all unless they trade Trumbo. As of right now Mancini is your left fielder and I think they are going to give Hays a long look.

But if that's the price for pitching then the Orioles should be active in the free agent market. No reason they can't afford Cobb, Chatwood, Garcia, etc. If it were me, I'd sign Jake Mcgee for the 18 million and see what I'd get for Brach or Britton.

I’d be really surprised if Lynn and Cobb go as cheaply as projected.   I’d be all over both of them at those prices.

I would as well.  Even if there was a reasonable OPACY premium added.

Give the youngsters a chance, say no to CarGo.

Sign me up for Lance Lynn at 4 years for $56M.  Except he is getting more, Ubaldo got a similar contract 4 years ago.

I don't like Darvish at those terms, I want to see how he bounces back after a disaster of a world series and he is injury prone.  Tanaka also risky due to injury factor.
