Lefty Reliever. Not terrible against lefties last year.

2.20 ERA, 20.1 IP,  21 H,  7 BB,  17 SO. 1.38 WHIP but a .280 avg

On minor league deal he could be a good LOOGY at some point next year.

He has one option left.

4 years and 48 days of MLB  service.  He will play 2018 at 31 years old.

Both Hart and Bleier have options next year.  So if one of them hits a rough spot and Edgin is pitching well he come help the team.

They are after Ohtani and Lynn.  Probably  miss on Ohtani but get Lynn.

I don't think the O's wait this year.   Unless Ohtani  holds up the pitching market.    If the Ohtani signs in Decmber I think the O's will go hard at Chatwood, Vargas and maybe Tillman on an incentive based contract before Jan 1st.

I would rather look at stuff realistically than "everything sucks."
