Vargas with a nice 8.75 ERA, and there were plenty of people on here that likes to blame the front office moves that wanted them to bring him in.

In football, sometimes the best passes that a quarterback makes are the ones that he doesn't throw (when under severe pressure, he either eats the ball and takes a sack or throws the ball far out of bounds for an incompletion instead of forcing a throw into double coverage and risking an interception.)

In the front offices of sports, sometimes the best acquisitions are the ones that you don't make.

I think they know what they have in Joey Rickard. Maybe they're seeing how Peterson plays all over the field so they can decide if he should stick around next year?

But, the bottom line is that choosing between Joey Rickard and Jace Peterson tells you everything you need to know about where this team is right now...

I don't think either has a role on this team going forward.

Yea but .160 Davis keeps getting penciled in. Maybe Buck wants to ensure that we get that coveted #1 draft pick.

Davis will get penciled in for four more years. Or maybe only three. And it is certainly not Buck's call.

Buck's not allowed to write the lineup he thinks is best to try and win each particular game?
