This is a historically bad collection of hitters

It's amazing to me how few contact hitters the Orioles seem to attract.  I don't know if they target the exact skill set that is opposite this, if it's a hitting-coach philosophy, or just bad luck, but every hitter seems to swing and miss a LOT.  Most teams at least have that one annoying guy who fouls off 10 pitches in a row...

I'm not putting Jones down either. He is a good ball player that just couldn't cross over to great.
