Are Wright and Alvarez the next off the island?

The report this morning is that O'Day is probably activated on Sunday,  Hess may also start on the Monday.      So who goes?  Wright is over due to be DFA'd.   I thought they would   send down Hart but he is pitching well.    There is not much use for Pedro Alvarez now.  Trumbo is back and Valencia is still here.   They may feel they gone their 1M out of Alvarez and keep the younger Hart on the major league roster.  This would mean a three man bench of a while.  Not that it matters that much.

I'm a huge proponent of Alvarez, but that said, this team is done for the years in terms of playoffs, and Pedro isn't part of our future going forward.  So you might as well DFA him and either let someone else claim him or send him down.  Wright also isn't part of the future.  We might as well keep sending Tillman out there if we're going to pay him to be on this team.  Valencia is in the same boat in my opinion as these 2.

If the outcome is more losses im ok with both staying. Team needs some talent infusion through the draft. I am very encourged by some of the minor league arms that are two years away. Some maybe three. It wont surprise me if the O's have three solid SP's in our minor leagues right now, not even counting Hess, who looks like he could be a solid #4 going forward.

Don't really care who we get. I think we are all agreed the important thing to focus on is DFA Wright.
