Good.   Shows they’re serious and did what it took to get their man.   And it’s hard to see Elias backing out under those circumstances.

It also shows they have their priorities in the right place.  It's a welcome change.

The average US household isn't in charge of a business bringing in over 250 million a year.  Compared to the salaries of the players it is nothing.  And DD was among the top 5 highest paid GM's in the league and Buck was the 4th highest paid manager.
