He's basically Valera, with a worse approach but with the ability to play quality SS defense.  They'll probably try and pass him through waivers at some point and use him as AAA depth.

I got nothing on this one, I think its pretty old school, a guy who can play good defense all over the infield.

This is the second he was was put on waivers (claimed by the Yankees the first time this off season.) I wonder why the Orioles didn't pick him up that time, but I'm not sure if it was before or after Elias and Hyde were hired.

He is 25, has hit .291/.321/.390 in 9 seasons in the minors and winter ball, he plays every position except Catcher, has an option remaining and is under control until 2022 season.

He has 71 more RBI than strikeouts in that time.

the Yankees wanted him enough to have him, and it seems like they know what they are doing somewhat.

 

Better than Susac and we need players at the position....

I think this is old.  He is 26 and out of options.

Good pickup IMO.   Glad to see Susac go.
