Long overdue really.

How an anything be long overdue on April 21?

This management team actually pulls the trigger on performance based changes faster than most.   The majority of teams don't make these type of changes until well into May.   It's nice to see but calling anything long over due when only 12% of a season has been played is silly.

Depends on whether you start the clock for being overdue at the start of the season or from September 1st last year?

Well, Buck always used to say that you don't trust September stats or spring training stats.

And our current management wasn't here in September either.

I'm not disagreeing with the move... I actually think it's refreshing that this management team is able to come to quicker conclusions than the usual MLB "wait till May" to judge how someone is doing like we did for Garrett Atkins, Bud Norris, and so many others.   This management came to quick decisions on Araujo, Jackson, Wright, and now Mullins.

But to say something is overdue on April 21 just seems odd.
