Not a bad choice if the Orioles aren't getting a TOR caliber starter. Even pitching for the Rockies Quantrill's ERA is at a respectable 3.50 in 90 innings pitched. -

Skubal is a stud that will require a package similar to what was posted. My issue with Skubal is the injury history and the lack of innings. OTOH, he’s a stud and a lefty. If we didn’t have to give up any of the big 3 prospects and obviously not trading any of the main young guys on the ML roster, I would trade whatever it took to get him. -
I'm rooting for Toronto!!!! Yankees winning does absolutely nothing for me! Plus, IF Toronto ever sells, no guarantee they sell our way. Go Jays!!! Keep them spoiled brats crying!!!!! -

He was definitely salty about getting pulled. Which makes me think he WASN'T just going through the motions, which is a pretty bad sign. Elias was on the broadcast just jiving the usual prospect stuff. Must have been there to get a look at Dean. As painfully average as he can be sometimes, we need him, and I'm glad he's coming back so we can push Suarez to the bullpen where he will succeed more often. Hopefully we keep Povich up here. -

Cal Quantrill, for me, may be the most likely target. The 29-year-old has 1.5 seasons of control, and while he may not be the ToR stud we want, he would be a nice addition to the rotation. -

And if I really want to jinx Gunnar, I could point out that the top 50 single season performances of all time (down to about 10.2 rWAR) were all put up by either Hall of Famers, players who clearly will be in the Hall when they retire, or would definitely be in the Hall if not for PEDs. The best single season (non-pitchers) of all time by someone who legit isn't in the Hall is Al Rosen's 1953.
