I guess this means Mountcastle is up for good. 

Commitment to playing Mullins and continuing to DH Severino or Sisco. Williams is a better bench option. 

I guess they figured he had no real role here if they weren’t going to DH him.

Certainly possible but I think it’s just because Mason can play all 3 OF positions.

Hes a better back up OFer than Smith, who really has very little value on this team and overall.

Nice, very excited about this move.

I don't think Mason is going to hit much but as a late inning defensive upgrade and pinch runner he brings a lot more to the table than Smith.

Too bad he isn't right handed to platoon with Mullins, but at least he is a second legit defensive center fielder.

In my head I was thinking Mullins was a lefty not a switch-hitter, but he has hit so poorly from the right side than he may as well be.
