It's $4 million for this season, and then either a $6 million team option or a $2 million buyout for next year. So Nick is essentially guaranteed $6 million.

Corban Joseph had a deal in place with the O’s after being released?  I don’t remember reading that.

Joseph reportedly re-signed with the Orioles earlier this offseason, but evidently that must have fallen through. The 30-year-old saw spot duty with the O's in 2018 but spent most of the year at Double-A, hitting .312/.381/.497 with 17 homers

This blurb is wrong, I think. Corban Joseph did re-sign with the Orioles after being released, but the A's then selected him in the minor league Rule 5 draft.
