#50THANNIVERSARY

On this day in 1970, the Baltimore Orioles beat the Detroit Tigers 10-2 for their 100th win of the season.

Tom Phoebus pitched 8.0 innings of 2 run, 6 hit baseball to earn his 5th win of the season.  He walked 4 and struck out 6.

Eddie Watt finished out the 9th inning with 2 strikeouts to earn the save.

Paul Blair went 3 for 4 with a homerun, a double, 2 runs scored and 2 RBI.

Andy Etchebarren went 3 for 5 with a homerun, a double, 1 run scored and 6 RBI.
