It's really not helpful to speculate about who did this.

Unfortunately, this is the way of the world with news scoops, particularly in sports.

She said in a podcast when she first disclosed this that the guy with the candles was married and had pictures of his two kids tattooed on his back.

Wow.

Pretty sure she mentioned all of this when she did her year by year recaps recently before this story came out.

I am pretty sure I know who it is from podcast the way she gave few details and stressed not in baseball anymore,  sounded to me like she didn’t want to say story until after he was officially out of baseball.  I believe they mentioned his tattoos that he had in an interview on Orioles talk before.

I agree. Woman should be treated exactly like their male counterparts and any player, coach or front office personnel that tries to take advantage of that are pretty disgusting. Britt was always professional in how she acted when I was around and she's very good writer and reporter.

Even if the player liked her, there are 100 different ways than faking a news tip and asking her to his room to make a move. That's just disrespectful and honestly a bit creepy.

I feel bad that it happened to her but do we know he faked a news tip? She thought it was a news tip but the article says the player told her he had something to tell her. Not that that really makes this acceptable.

While it sucsk that something like that happpenedl, the reality is Trey Mancini is in a relationship with a reporter. Relationships do sometimes start in the course of your job.

I think in an ideal world, the player would say, "Hey I like you. Do you want to get a drink, grac a coffeet, etc.?? instead of trying to jump on her at a hotel room which is pretty disgraceful.

At the same time, if I was a reporter, male or female and someone told me, "Hey I need to tell you something. Come to my hotel room," I'm pretty sure I'd press them on it. "Why can't you just tell me it on the phone. What's it about?"

If I have a daughter, I'm going to tell her, "Be forewarned. Guys are often thinking of something sexual." It sucks you have to think that way but it's reality.

I assume he'd know what guys are thinking but virtually every thing I might ever tell himi related to this type o f thing would cover this situation.

"Keep it in your ****. Don't be an ass. Be respectful. Take someone out on a date before you make a move on them. Don't cheat on your wife"

I'd be irate with him if he tried to have a one night stand on the road while married.

Wasn't what I meant.

Men can also be the victim.
