I think people questioned the though process and rightfully so of putting him there with limited to no work in Spring Training at the position.  But he looked good and actually showed some range as well. 

And If he has the range, 2B is actually an easier position to play than 3B.  So he should be fine.

Yeah. A one game sample size is nothing. But if he continue to make plays and get those DPs, then we may be on to something.

His limited bat definitely plays better at second than at third, that's for sure.

He’s a professional athlete..I would expect him to be able to do some things here and there.  
 

Still don’t see much reason to believe he can sustain it over the long haul but I guess we’ll find out.

Little more concerned about Franco at third after today....but we will see.  Ruiz was very impressive.  Good to see.

Not only this spring... He appears to have all of two innings at 2B in his entire pro career.

I don't understand why its such a big surprise that a 3B who played competently can also play 2B.

No agenda..just merely saying that one game means nothing and that you could probably put a lot of pro baseball players at a position that they have barely played and they would look great there at times.  
 

These guys have been playing the game for 20+ years and have dominated their peers at all levels.  They are the best of the best and have reached a level most can only dream of.  Their talent is immense.
