Santander got a pitch to hit and couldn't  keep it fair.  When you are down 4 you have to convert those.

RMC also got a fastball down the middle, swung late, and fouled it into the RF seats.

Yeah, we missed quite a few in this game.  Unfortunately, we better to get used to it, because this is the Orioles.

87% of the outs that Harvey recorded (13 out of 15) came via the Groundout and the Strikeout.

Prior to the 6th inning, Harvey had retired 13 out of the previous 15 Red Sox batters that he faced.

Harvey had a moderate improvement in his Strikes-to-Balls ratio as compared to his last outing.

I'm still confident that RMC will have a good season as a hitter. But if he doesn't improve in the field we've got the Trumbo problem all over again.

It's like they say: hitting a baseball is the easiest thing to do in pro sports.

How is this relevant to my post?

If it were so easy to "convert" foul balls into fair balls, hitting would be the easiest thing to do in pro sports. But it doesn't work that way.

I never said it was easy.  I said when you are down 4 you have to convert those.  Because it's hard to comeback down 4 runs, especially late in the game.

Edit: I was answering your 2nd post, quoted your first by mistake.
