After striking out 11 times in his first 29 PA, Rutschman has struck out only 8 times in his last 64 PA.    In that same stretch, he’s walked 18 times.    

It’s interesting that he’s never been truly hot with the bat this month, and yet he has a .441 OBP and a .905 OPS.    If he ever does get hot, watch out!
 

The plate discipline/approach seems legit.  That OBP is absurd and sorely needed for a team that's always lacked it.  I will take that separation in BA/OBP all day, every day.

Maybe July 1, especially if the plan is to get him to Baltimore by May 1 of 22.

I hope they have a new CBA in place by then that eliminates this nonsense.

I'd be hedging my bets with young prospects and locking folks up before the negotiations start.
