Arrieta had better stuff but overall I agree with the premise.

Kramer has very good stuff.  He led minors in strike outs one year.  He just can’t get ahead enough to use off speed stuff.

I see a fastball that's straight as an arrow and sits around 93-94.  The breaking/offspeed stuff is decent.  I'm not saying he has bad stuff, he doesn't.  Arrieta's was just better.

Hope you are right!

Then maybe our pitching coaches can do for him what the Cub pitching coaches did for Arrieta.

If 2022-2025 Kremer is anything like 2014-2017 Arrieta, that would be fantastic.

It took Arrieta almost 4 years in the majors before he figured it all out.  Both Kramer and Arrieta made their debut at age 24.

His command disappears at times.  He'll look okay for a while and then be all over the place.

I think coaching and time can help.  He will be the last guy I want to give up on among him, Akin, Zimm, Lowther.
