Were 10-6 after break and playing competitive. Now 10 straight. 
 

Offense lacks depth but Ryan was getting hot. Offense isn’t good but it’s not an embarrassment. This pitching staff is a sight to behold.

Even bad teams have the occasional good run.

 

Geez I wish folks would quit blaming the schedule.

This team was built for two things.

1. To be cheap
2. To lose games.

I find it really surprising that so often, with a really terrible pitcher, the justification for keeping him is that “he eats innings.”

But that’s not true. If he’s terrible, he’s going to go out there and give up three or more runs(his own or someone else’s) in a third of an inning And then the manager is going to yank him in disgust.

So he’s not eating innings, he’s just pouring gasoline on the fire. That’s really just a long winded way of saying I wish we would get rid of Plutko…

Pitching, pitching, pitching! Bad John Means (still decent...) Harvey rejuvenated some. The rest of the starters are trash. The bullpen has collapsed. No joy in Mudville...

Idk, not a lot of vision to demote Valaika and then allow CD to retire without thinking about who is going to eat innings in the blowouts.

I’m not blaming the schedule. They suck. I’m saying it’s not going to get any better. 
 

I’m not scapegoating the ineptitude. They can’t beat good teams with this pitching. Beat KC, Wash, Mia one game and Tigers. The Tigers series at home this week hurt.

Pen has collapsed and it’s not due to being overworked. They just haven’t thrown well.

Somehow their rebuild isn't taking as long.

They’re saving Wells and Scott for tomorrow when it’s a more competitive game with Akins pitching.
