I assume your feelings are if current ownership remains, Elias and Sig move on?

I honestly don’t know.  I mean, as pessimistic as I am about ownership, we do need to see what kind of commitment they have.

And if they do sell, will the new owners want to keep these guys?

And will Sig get a GM job?  Will he stay in MLB?  He could go NFL and I wouldn’t be surprised.

Lots of factors.

If they turn things around, will a bigger money franchise come after Elias?

Im with you..I hope they stay for a long time but I can’t imagine they do if things continue to be cheaped out on the ML level.

Not a mock but the sports books have all moved Lee to a huge favorite to go 1.1

-550 is the odds for Lee to go 1 which equates to 85% chance according to the sportsbook

I am not a gambler, so don't have a full feel on odds for things like sports drafts, but the massive shift in the past 24 hours on the betting odds to Lee is peculiar...and telling.

To a degree they had to know what they were getting into… but yeah, there are better jobs out there depending on what one views as their strengths. Elias clearly knows how to rip something down to it’s foundation and build something. You just hope that the reconstructive surgery that has been performed (and supported by ownership) since he arrived continues. It’s hard for me to fathom a circumstance where it wouldn’t, since it’s so engrained into the sport now.

Another aspect of the rebuild that gets overlooked often (for obvious reasons) is the impact of actual farming of Caribbean talent. Those kids are years away, but that apparent shift in philosophy will also manifest over the next 4-6 years.

Lots of good things have happened the last 3 1/2 years.

‘bout time….

It happened in the NFL and NBA drafts and both correctly predicted the 1st pick

Agents talk.  Boras has been talking to Arizona. That could be due diligence or he knows who isn’t taking Jones.

Elias hiring of Koby Perez will turn out to be the best thing he did for our organization

Keith Law’s last mock has us taking Holiday, but he admits it’s just an educated guess.  I haven’t seen many mocks where Holiday isn’t in the top 3, so not sure how much you save.  Seems Johnson and Lee would save more.  Don’t know why you would take Holiday over Jones unless you really think Jones will sit out unless paid slot or over.

Keith Law always thinks we are doing the wrong thing .. and has often been correct lol

Do we know who the projected agents are for Jones, Lee, Holiday, and Johnson?  Does that figure into who the pick is?  Seems like Boras is linked to Jones and Boras can be a pain to deal with apparently.  Just curious if anyone knows.
