Monday, July 25: Rays come to town for a big 4 game series

This is what winning teams in the AL east do.   We eke out a few bloopy hits and get the bases loaded and Kluber just turns it up so much that our guys had zero contact, not even a hard foul.  Odor’s ball was a moral victory and only ball that any kind of contact occurred.  These bottom feeder hitters need to learn how to bunt.

And then we give it right back.  This is why we are still the last place team in this division

Depending on Melanie Newman's description is frustrating.

Raley's double last inning was a "looper" so I felt like I fell in front of the outfield but then he got a standup double out of it.

And Cedric Mullins went "into the corner" to get it.  Really, our center fielder was in the corner???

Ok, so it's hard to do that in real time, I get it.  But that IS the job description.  And I'd you fail to get it right in real time, which is gonna happen, please back fill with an accurate telling of what happened.  Nope.  On to the next batter.

We should steal on the first pitch to Mountcastle at every opportunity.  It is guaranteed that he is going to be thrown a first pitch low and away out of the strike zone every at bat and he's going to swing at it.  It's never going to be put into play, either.

Based on the Rays broadcast Adley has 9 homers and 8 RBI in the last 15 games.  I am pretty sure whoever put that stat in their should have thought that can’t be right.  The announcers just read it and never even questioned it.  Lol

It went into the "new" corner of left field.  The one in left center.  And yes,  Mullins did go get it there.  I don't know about "looper" - it was hit at 104 mph off the bat.
