The idea that you have to be a good weightlifter to be a baseball player is beyond stupid. As John Kruk said, I'm a baseball player, not an athlete. I get it, some baseball players are great athletes, but if you can hit a round ball with a round bat very well, you will get paid. I remember when Astros signed him there were a bunch of posters complaining about us to going after him and signing him because of a cheap owner. I guess being cheap can work out. He aged about as bad as Davis did. -
Well, the 108-win 1970 team won the World Series, while the 109-win team from 1969 did not. So, I can be happy with 108 if there’s a WS trophy afterwards.

That probably makes the most sense. It's not often you see a guy post a 6.10 AAA ERA over 36 starts and still spend almost all of his time in the rotation. His numbers over the last year and a half are abysmal. Like six walks and two homers per nine. That would be completely unacceptable in pre-humidor Coors. Remember when Ken Dixon was hurt in '87 and gave up a mind-bending 31 homers in 105 innings? That's basically what Stoudt was doing in the PCL this year. -
