Hanging around and next week

They have to hang around this week and stay engaged in the race. What’s done is done. Don’t want to look back, look forward. Year after year in the NFL you see a team lose one late in the year and it turns out had they won their last 2 they still would have made it. 
 

Next week the Orioles have a 2 game series in DC. IF the Orioles win both they are guaranteed to pick up ground in the WC chase. They will pick up a minimum of 1.5 games but at least 3 in the loss column. TB/TOR play 5 times in the same time frame the Orioles only play twice. If one team goes 4-1 obviously that’s 4 games in the loss column. 
 

At this point they are going to need someone to fall back to them. Obviously the head to head games vs Toronto are there. Either way at least give yourself a chance.

Good advice, thanks.  One day at a time is usually sound in most all endeavors!  
We shall see how the squad responds to adversity during the remaining games.  
Hopefully it will engage and elevate them.

Bottomline: Yesterday kind of sucked but it's only two games and it seems worse because it all happened in 1 day. It's not like there's only 5 games left in the season. Just have to stay positive.

Coming into the Blue Jays series, we wanted a series win. That would have allowed us to leave the series just half a game back. That is no longer in play (obviously). BUT...they can still split the series. If they do that, the leave the series still 2.5 games back of the Jays and well within the race. If, however, the Jays win the next two games, I think any wildcard hopes are behind us.
