So many scenarios to do that.  Prospects for vets…Mullins for young pitching.  Spend money.  Os have the flexibility to attack this in so many ways. 

BTW, I don’t really care if we get a MOO or just multiple new good bats but I do think we need to add in more offensive talent.

I'm not sure who would even be available. But the O's have a tiny payroll, and it finally makes sense this offseason to splurge on some new toys.

If I'm the Blue Jays manager, I'm working out the rotation to make absolutely sure Manoah pitches against us twice.  If we have to face him twice in 6 games it's going to be really tough for us.  Those games are the highest leverage games the Jays are going to play for the remainder of the season, and if we go 5-1 or 6-0 against them its going to kill their playoff hopes.

Our bullpen has been so good overall, it’s hard to complain about the few late-innings losses we’ve had.  Most teams, even good ones, have significantly more of those than we do.

Interesting. I was actually surprised that the Twins wanted him after they witnessed first-hand his 2 consecutive blown saves with the O's.

This has been an amazing year, but it does seem like we’re running out of gas and will fall short of the playoffs. That won’t take away from how much I’ve enjoyed this season and how much I’m looking forward to the upcoming seasons.

Over our last 24 games, we’ve gone 14-10.  That’s a 94-95 win pace.  In that time:

Toronto is 16-8.

Tampa is 18-5.

Seattle is 15-6.

The wildest ending would be the O's going 18-6 the rest of the way, losing 4 games to the Jays along the way, and get a playoff spot because the Yankees somehow managed to go 7-16 and ended up 1 game behind us.

We handled our business in DC. The pen gets to rest up on the off day. So far I’m seeing the pitch match ups in Toronto as,

Lyles vs Hatch (who?)

Bradish vs Berrios

Kremer vs Manoah (Damn)

It all starts with game 1. Gunnar should be in the MOO. Bullpen will be rested and deeper.
