Amazing that he would walk away from such a successful team in San Francisco only to reemerge in Texas, in the AL no less, where Bochy's probably much less familiar. I guess 3 years away was enough retirement for him.

Maybe he didn't get along with Zaidi and the new school approach. Chris Young, being one of his former players, might have told him that he will have the reins in the dugout. I have nothing to substantiate that but Bochy seems like a pretty old school guy.
