Ramon Urias Win His First Gold Glove

This does give you a little something extra to think about - I don't care how data-driven decisions can be these days.

What's clear though is that Urias has great defensive chops, and if we move him over to 2b to let Gunnar play 3b full-time next to Mateo at SS, that's a good way to start the season. Then we have some other 2b options knocking at the door, which is good. Organizational depth, the ability to rotate quality players to keep guys fresh (without a huge talent delta), and solid infield defense at all 5 positions will be a tremendous asset to the 2023 club and beyond.

Now what do they do? Gunnar is no slouch at 3B either and clearly has more upside. Urias was pretty dominant at 3B though. So we have a GG caliber left side of the infield with more great infielders knocking on the door in Norfolk, or already on the team. I sense a trade happening.

We do not know whether they plan to play Gunnar at SS or 3B.   The fate of Mateo and Urias rides on that decision.
