dtk9119
Inexcusable Hays is not in the line up today at minimum as a DH
Can_of_corn
I'm sure the 24 hours Hicks has been in the system is plenty of time to straighten out his issues.
Bemorewins
Are we just waving the white flag against Bieber today? I hope the Orioles surprise, but it seems like we are just giving the game away. 6-9 is not a the second half of a Major League lineup. forphase1
Yup, 6-9 is ugly. Now watch they will go 12 for 15 or something!
TopGunnar
My goodness. I usually don’t complain about lineups but this one is one I can’t ignore. And Akin starting is the cherry on top.
purplepittabread88
What the heck about Mountcastles play moved him to the cleanup christ? Would have been a great day to put Gunnar at 4 and get him so deserved RBIS

His value is because he’s a catcher. We need to stop trying to take him away from that. He’s on pace to start 112 games at C. He’s 7th in the majors in innings caught. I’d be OK pushing him towards 120 starts, but that might require giving him a few more full days off, rather than DHing him. So, it’s a bit of a trade-off. He’s definitely an important bat in our lineup, even if he’s not a “great” hitter, because he’s on base a ton and he makes the opposing pitchers work. Yea, it’s a trade off of giving him more games where he is most valuable and giving him much needed off days. If the lineup can’t withstand him being out of it for a game here and there, it’s a poorly constructed lineup.

Mooreisbetter27
I guess this is why Hyde burned through all his relievers yesterday. Knew we were going to be fielding this team today.
Going Underground
Watch the Orioles score a ton of runs Weird things happen in baseball. The A's who were trying to have the worst record ever after 60 games, have beaten the Braves twice in a row.

Bad timing with Mullins being hurt and now Hicks is forced to play. Maybe burning through the backend of the bullpen was worth it last night with today's lineup and it being a bullpen game. The Indians 1-9 is pretty ugly outside of Ramirez. Remember it’s Bieber vs our lineup and Voth versus the Indians. Voth has shown that he can be nails. Santa has been on a heater. A big day from him today could carry us to a series stealing W.
