The guy swings at everything and is a giant hole in the middle of the lineup right now. No one is saying he'll continue at this horrible pace. Just saying it's difficult to watch RIGHT NOW. Calm down.

He doesn't swing at everything.  He's had multiple 10+ pitch at bats in the first two games of this series, including one that got to I think it was 14, and is well above his career average for pitches per plate appearance - I think he saw 27 pitches in his first 4 AB's just last night.  He's battling hard and just not getting results, but he eventually will.

They continue to kill the team offensively....

Not sure what the right thing to do is.... just have to hope they start hitting....    at some point send Gunnar back down?  Seemed inconceivable at one point, but he looks pretty lost up there.....

Mullins with a nice game tonight.

Seems like Henderson needs to swing a bit more, and Santander a bit less. Both are whiffing a lot. But Henderson is whiffing late in the count after taking 4 pitches, Santander is whiffing throughout the count at pitches out of the zone.

These sky is falling threads based on 1/10 of a season’s worth of games has to stop.

It’s almost as if some of you have never watched a full season of baseball before.

At most points in the season, there are going to be at least three players in the lineup struggling in a 15 game sample. Right now the offense is over performing. What’s the reaction going to be when it’s really struggling?

Henderson literally started the game winning rally with a walk, he isn't going down and it should start being asked if Mullins isn't going to get his on base % up, then why not have Henderson leading off, ill take Hendersons walks in front of Adley. With that said im only worried about Santander, who looks disinterested on top of struggling.

Santander looks pretty clearly hurt to me. He isn’t able to use his lower half at all on his swing. Also, as mentioned above, there have been some audible grunts when he swings. I think the back is worse than they are letting on and he should probably go on the IL for a stretch to get right.

If he was expanding the zone, I'd be worried.  Pitchers know they will have to bring it into the zone and cannot get him to chase.  He will get the stroke back, and when he does it's going to be fun to watch.

Santander looks banged up.

Something going on with Santander.   His stance is completely different from last year.  He’s upright and I think his feet are closer to the plate.  Here is video from last year.

Here is the WBC.  Not as crouched as last year.

And this is a double from 4/9/23 which looks like the WBC stance.   Wonder why he changed.   He seems like the swing is longer and he gets tied up on any fastballs on the inner half.

Ok.  Mullins is doing better even though he still seems to be swinging through too many fastballs.   His plate discipline has been good.

Santander finally gets on the board with a homer.  Hopefully it’s the start of something.

Gunnar gets a late AB and actually swings at the first pitch fastball and goes the other way.  Another good sign.
