I'm not even worried about Tampa.  I'm worried about the O's losing their wild card spot.  O's have been treading water for weeks.  Elias has to make some moves to make this team better.  I think all of us knew this wasn's a 105 win team, but it was good while it lasted.

Who is the homeplate ump tomorrow? Honest question, the last three games it's been all over the place with the calls. Umps unable to keep track of the calls, that took me back to my little league days.

Compared to the Cubs starters the O's starters are the mediocre ones.  Justin Steele is just behind Stroman as a Cy Young candidate.  Kyle Hendricks hasn't seen too much action this year but he's pitching pretty well and has been solid most of his career.  The O's bullpen might be a bit better but that's debatable.  

I agree it's about time to promote Westburg and Cowser, but I'm not sold Ortiz is really ready for the MLB level.  The O's are just going to struggle at the plate now and then against good pitching, especially with Mullins out.

Ben May was at 1B today, so he should be behind the plate tomorrow.
