Initial jokes aside, I like this pickup.  Strictly because we've been able to get relievers back on track, even if it's for a little bit (Jorge Lopez, Cionel Perez) or for more of an extended period (Bautista, perhaps Cano).  Hopefully this is a shot in the arm for the bullpen over the next two months or so.

Yeah, contract is 1yr $3.25 million. So this is a pure salary dump for the A's and a rental for us. He's had a great month and hopefully he can keep up the hot streak a while longer.
