Catchers don't have wild pitches, they have passed balls. Wild pitches are on the pitcher.

I just don’t get Adleys refusal to attempt to block a ball in the dirt. How has Hyde not got in his ear about this .

Adley hasn't been blocking dirt balls this game. He should be squaring his shoulders, blocking between his legs with his mitt, and leaning forward. Instead he hasn't done any of that. He's just been swiping with the mitt trying to backhand it and balls are going everywhere else on him.
