Not from a "those grapes were probably sour anyway" standpoint. Moreso keeping track of opportunity costs.

I hate the idea of this thread.  The team we have is the one we’re going to have.  I don’t live in some alternative universe.  There’s no way to know what any player who isn’t on the Orioles would have done if he’d been on the Orioles.

Fair points, though in advocating for who people wanted or didn't want the Orioles to trade for you are relying upon their success with a team that is not the Orioles as well.  I suspect the thread will reveal that none of this is as simple as fans make it out to be.

Yes, and I will.  The team might have done more, but it’s over now and I don’t need to re-live the 2923 trade deadline from now until the end of time.  I’ll root for the team we have, agonize when our bullpen screws up and wish we had someone more reliable, but I’m not going to “what if” specific players.

Yup. This is the one they should have pursued.

I think it would have taken Kjerstad to beat Gilbert and Clifford, but Christopher Russo talking with Bob Costas just reported he'd spoken with Ben Verlander the other day, and Ben's account was Justin would have been okay with BAL.

Of course now in the after action spin it could be trying to sand down edges for Gunnar and the young guys battling old guys for prizes.
