I say we try 5 hitting coaches. One for left-handed batters, one for right-handed batters, one for switch hitters, one for bunting, and one for hitting behind the runner. I am, of course, not serious - but we if we did it we could lead the majors in hitting coaches. 🤣
Interesting reading Braves fan thoughts about Seitzer were the same issues O’s had, lack of situational hitting and complete ineptness with RISP.
Seitzer said it was his most frustrating season he’s had and said he couldn’t get the hitters to stop pressing. Sounds familiar.
not sure if he’s the right fit, though I think a coach with real Major League experience is an asset.
I like that idea, though I can't see why the Angels would do it. I wonder if the Angels have thought about moving Mike Trout to 1B or even DH. Maybe the Angels would rather have Mullins than Mountcastle, but they aren't trading Ward for Mullins either.
To answer the OP's question - It's too early to tell. But neither team/franchise won anything. I think their fanbase is a little happier because it was unexpected and they at least one a series.
But neither franchise has anything to stick their chest out about.
