Cringe worthy...yes.   Juvenile...yup.   But, did anyone get offended by that type of remark?   It was purely a joke, albeit a very bad one.

At worst there should have been a conversation with KB about being more careful with his commentary during games.

To allow this to spiral into an indefinite suspension for KB and blow up into being most talked about story in baseball can only happen with an owner as petty and vindictive as John Angelos.

KB is awful in the Splash Zone--it's just not his mode of dealing with people. Loved seeing Adam Jones out there though. He wd have roasted Brown for that line (or at least pie-faced him).

If you remember in the game thread I was pretty critical of him out there and his comment about the wallet when he came back. Either way, I agree, that is not his strong suit. By the way, this is a good time to put out my extreme dislike of them broadcasting from the rooftop bar with a bunch of drunk people behind them (Including Angelos' wife who think she can just do what she wants).

It wasn’t even a bad one.  Has there been a spate of people having their wallets lifted at OPACY?  It’s a common joke used by people in crowded spaces for years.  And to the extent people look at it as an issue because of crime in Baltimore, people scared of crime in Baltimore aren’t scared they are going to get their wallet lifted.

Betcha  one comment was when he said he thought that his wallet was stolen while he was in the splash zone. That one was cringe worthy.

This would definitely qualify as "more to the story" which we have been assured repeatedly there wasn't. Not that it makes it much better.

Exactly. And that's the biggest issue with American sports. Look at the damage Snyder did and it only took 2+ decades until he was finally "fired".

As someone who no longer has a favorite football team because of him, I feel this post. It cuts deep.
