The most overrated division in the sport

1 team with a losing record is an overrated division?  The wins and losses axiomatically illustrate the point.  There is no "rating" the division. Empirically the teams are better. End of argument.

Take a look at the interdivisional records.   They beat every other division hands down.  Nothing overrrated about them.  It’s just factual.

It’s also a fact that they got crushed in these playoff series.

The playoff loss will be felt until the playoffs are over. After that, fans will get over it and start looking forward to next season.

Not me. We have been basically rebuilding since 1998.  I burned my jersey and hat after the last loss and won't be rooting for them going forward. Been a fan since 1979 and have no more emotions to invest in this franchise.  Going forward I will only watch hockey. The pitch clock, stupid new uniforms, and just the way they always fail. Baseball has changed, and not for the better in my opinion. I wish ya'll luck but I am done as a baseball and Orioles fan. Adding the extra wildcard team has also ruined the game. THe data is there.

I plan to be Butt Hurt for a while....😡

We play in the most difficult division in the sport.  The Yankees will spend another Billion dollars and put themselves back in World Series contention like they do every year. Tampa will always be in the hunt.  The Jays and even the Red Sox have rebuilt themselves and will be sniffing the post season....

The Rangers spent a gazillion dollars and brought in Seager, Scherzer, Chapman, Semien, DeGrom, Evoldi, Perez- showing that you can purchase playoff appearances and titles like a commodity...

Meanwhile, Angelos will force Elias to pick through the bargain basement bin for spare parts like always... And we need 2 Starting pitchers and a closer...

While there is a lot to look forward to as an Oriole fan, you never know what the future may bring and I plan to be sore for a while that we did not capitalize on this opportunity....

I hear you, but the Mets, Padres and others spent a gazillion dollars on their playoff tickets too.

Spending money isn’t the answer. Improving is.  Some of that can be internal, some of it may require trade capital and some of it could be money spent.

But they do not sell playoff experiences or the Mets and Padres would be demanding refunds.

Did you know that you can get 36 inches of wiener all in one bun at the stadium?

That should be enough to keep you around for another season.

What division is more overrated?

Oh I don’t know let’s start with the NL West which was supposed to be a battle of the 300m rosters of the Dodgers and Padres.  If that doesn’t suit how about the NL East which was supposed to be dominated by the NY Mets and the Braves.

I mean there is really no measure that doesn’t confirm the AL East as the best in baseball. One week doesn’t really change that.  If the scores tonight hold the top 5 teams during the regular season will all be gone.

Are the Braves overrated?  The Dodgers?  Milwaukee? Or is it just that Tampa Toronto and Baltimore are gone that makes them overrated?
