This story's a couple months old but new to me today - lots of detailed reporting on the coming together of some of the Braves' big deals.

Hannah Keyser also got different perspective quotes from Scott Boras and Dave Dombrowski in the piece.

I wonder if Mike Elias' personal style could also involve friendly chit-chatting with Coby Mayo somewhere around Cinco de Mayo.

In no way do you regret the Acuna extension because he’s just that good but he has now torn both ACLs and while he will probably be ok, it’s just a reminder that these extensions are always the slam dunk people make them out to be.

What a shame to lose such an excellent and exciting player.   2nd time for him (once for each knee.)

CBS Sports suggests 5 names Atlanta could pursue.

  1. Tommy Pham - CWS
  2. Taylor Ward - LAA
  3. Brent Rooker - OAK
  4. Bryan De La Cruz - MIA
  5. Jesse Winker - WAS

Does Elias call offering Hays?  Does Antho screen that call?

Braves host Dodgers starting tonight for a long 4-game series.

Looking at their Roster Resource after Reynaldo Lopez has had to be shutdown again (overworked?), it was entertaining their 4-man rotation is basically a 25 year old, a 30 year old, a 35 year old and a 40 year old.

ATL and NYM 5-5 in their head to head games, and Fangraphs today forecasting them both 88-74 for NL6 so that head to head winner to be determined in their final series looming large.

No Acuna was something that happened on the 2021 championship run, but this year the No Acuna, No Albies, No Riley triple down might be pushing it.

Overall my guess would be the Dodgers fear them more than the Mets, and this is a chance for them to influence the field.
