And, Burnes will not be worth what he and Boras more than likely get. Burnes is not the cross I am going to bear re how I feel about Elias or our new ownership. I'm anxious to see how both operate this off season without setting conditions on any particular player(s). This is new territory for them and for me. I've lived, as have many of us, with The A family for three decades. That book is closed and we shall see how the first chapter of this one goes. I'm hoping for good reading!

Referencing a scouting report isn't the same as simply saying since he's the #1 prospect it means he has the skills. I'll also say that scouting reports often end up wrong so I wouldn't write them in stone either. -

From the Banner: "The Orioles will have a new hitting department next season after two of their main major league coaches decided to depart the organization. Last week, co-hitting coach Ryan Fuller was one of three coaches to depart. And now co-hitting coach Matt Borgschulte is leaving Baltimore to return to the Minnesota Twins organization, a source confirmed. It remains to be seen whether offensive strategy coach Code Asche will remain." https://www.thebaltimorebanner.com/sports/orioles-mlb/orioles-hitting-coach-matt-borgschulte-hired-by-twins-MOJBT5365ZGV3KJOG7BKBUJYBE/ -
So when I read scouting reports that say Holliday could play MLB SS I should ignore that? Vlad was one of the greatest hitting prospects ever.

Vlad Jr was ranked as the #1 overall prospect in 2019. Did he have the glove skills? Delmon Young was the #1 overall prospect in 2005,2006 and 2007. Did he have the glove skills? -
If that’s the case it impacts the pen as well potentially.

Dominguez (0.2 bWAR), Soto (-0.1), Perez (-0.2) We have no idea if Felix will be healthy or if he'll even be effective. That's a question mark. Akin was awful/hurt in 2023, very good in low/medium leverage situations this year. Will we get the same out of him in 2025? I think you can rely on Webb, Cano, and Coulombe to be above average arms. Selby is under control, but he's also a wild card. I don't know, that bullpen isn't a strength. It has the upside of being very good. But there are some big, relatively expensive question marks in it (Soto, Dominguez).
