I like the sentiment of the OP. We are getting close to the all homegrown lineup. Santa is at least a guy that we can say that he’s never played in the MLB for another team.

Still stings remembering that Brian Roberts draft. They had 7 picks in the top 50 and...yikes. Talk about a night and day difference. Thanks, Elias!

I looked at that draft today. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a very good draft. I don’t think there were many nuggets that the O’s missed on. They were just unfortunate to have a draft with so many in the top turning out to miss. But yes the difference is amazing. Hopefully they continue to grab top talent.

This could go on a separate thread but seems relevant here. Three of the guys in this homegrown lineup are currently in the top 10 for fWAR:

6. Gunnar 1.5

7. Cowser 1.4

9. Westburg 1.3

I have to think Gunnar will be moving up with his 3 for 3/HR SB and defense today.
