Was implying Scott. If we get Scott, I think we’d option Akin till 9/1 and roll with Irvin as the 3rd lefty/longman.

Not much left behind the big 4. “Only 4”. Fabian, Wagner, Willems. 

The cupboard is full not a bunch of known names right now. They went with Norby and Stowers because they need to make decisions on them soon. Our prospects 5-30 are very similar.

I literally said if it was one I would do it.  And no, given the market it sounds like one was not enough.  Both the Tigers and the White Sox do not have to trade their guys so they have all the leverage in a seller’s market.  
 

You make it sound like if Elias had just tried harder he could have made it happen.  If the sticking point was one versus two top line guys, then he was right to hold his ground.

Akin has the highest fWAR in the pen and the best ERA out of their regulars besides Webb and Cano. He’s been bad in high leverage spots but he’s their best middle relief option. Keeping either Irvin or Suarez over him would seem like a pretty big mistake. Or at least not very helpful in terms of winning.
