Rise of the Super-Teams?

Last year at about this time, the top four teams in MLB were:

TBR .690

BAL .627

TEX .627

ATL .618

This year the top four are:

NYY .700

PHI .687

BAL .672

CLE .652

That’s kind of crazy good   The top four teams this year are on pace to win 113, 111, 109 and 106 games, respectively.

History tells us that most or all of these teams will fall off their pace eventually   But it certainly feels like these teams have separated themselves from the pack.

Pretty cool that only one team is on both lists. The Os are legit and have been for a good while now.

Also pretty wild that neither list includes the Dodgers, who seemed to be building the ultimate super team this offseason as they acquired the best player on the planet and one of the best available pitchers, etc while they already had one of the OTHER best players on the planet on their roster.

It's a snapshot on a random day.

Dodgers won 100 games last season, which was the third most in the league.

Which doesn’t change anything at all about my post. I didn’t say the Dodgers weren’t a top team.

I just wasn't agreeing that it is "pretty wild" they didn't make either list.
