They are not going to trade Holliday for one starter.  They need a couple of bullpen arms before a starter.

Certainly agree on needing a high leverage BP arm or two as well, but that’s beside the point. If (big if) Skubal is legitimately obtainable, I’d be willing to part with one of the big three, all I’m saying. A Burnes - Skubal - GRod trio to go along with our offense would be ideal for October.

Even if Holliday is as good as he is claimed to be, he wouldn’t give us anything we don’t already have in abundance. But if we could trade him for someone ~equally gifted, but with a skill set we don’t have in our system at all, and need very badly, wouldn’t that be a good trade?

Its unwise to refuse to trade him just because of his upside.
