Big Maple anyone?

I don't love it but I'll be shocked if we don't hear about the O's inquiring. If they're looking at Montas and Martinez from Cincy and don't have to give up as much for someone to potentially eat innings (which is what Paxton has done) .. I can't see them not exploring it.

The Dodgers need SP in a big way. His FIP is 4.97 and 6.4 K/9. I think every starter we're throwing out there on a nightly basis is an upgrade from Paxton. They are banking on 36-year-old Kershaw to replace him, I guess we'll see what he has left in the tank.

Everybody and their brother would choose the unknown with Ker over Paxton right now.

That said, I will not be upset if the O’s explore Paxton for rotation depth. As good as Suarez has been (and it seems like every start of his is the other shoe falling start) he’s going to hit a wall with innings.

I would pull the trigger on Paxton before giving up anything for either Cincy starter the O’s have been rumored to have interest.
