Brandon Webb with 42 straight scoreless innings

Completed his third straight complete game shutout tonight against Atlanta, bringing his current streak to 42 IP. Simply one of the more dominant streaks we've seen in a while. Can he break Herhisers record of 59?

And shutting down the Braves is not that easy either. Id say its a long shot to get the record...he still needs two more shutouts:eek:

My friend said ESPN showed the list of consecutive scoreless innings streaks and thought he saw Gregg Olson's name on there.

I am having trouble finding the same list online.

Any help?

Update: I was able to view the list on ESPN.com's small video stream area:

Most Consecutive Scoreless Innings Pitched

Division Play Era (since 1969)

1) '88 Hershiser - 59 IP

2) '07 Webb - 42

3) '89-'90 Gregg Olson - 41

4) '72 Luis Tiant - 40

I'd still like our resident statheads to let me know where I would be able to find this info online. Thanks!
