Yes? The bullpen can get better? Though I think Means & Bradish returning will indirectly help that. Perhaps they wouldn’t have been in a situation to blow a tight game if we had scored more runs. I’m not sure how there’s controversy over saying Urias has been terrible thus far (short picture) and been in a consistent decline (longer picture). -
Sigbot to me is just the whole system from the analysts to the computer programs themselves that looks for minute small advantages when setting lineup or usage outlines. -

The numbers are great, but there are plenty of times when they don't find correction and continue to happen for the length of a season. Oftentimes, an unusually low BABIP remains just that, unusually low for an entire season or longer. -
The Yankees offense is largely predicated on walks and their pitching conversely has a mediocre K/BB rate but gives up very weak contact. Cortes has traditionally been very good at limiting quality contact and subbing out Severino for Stroman certainly helps, but Gil and Rodon’s x wOBACON are down nearly .100 points from last year. Hard to think they’ll continue preventing runs that well though with such a mediocre K/BB rate. They currently have the 4th best BABIP and LOB%, along with the 9th lowest HR%. So even with the strong quality of contact they’ve been pretty fortunate (9th in x wOBA, 8th in wOBA, 2nd in ERA). -
Now that I think about it. My faulty math is also incorrect on the other numbers. He blew 5 out of 27,28, and 29 attempts while saving 23,24, and 25. I shouldn’t try to crunch numbers after a day of work unless it’s ounces of liquor in a cocktail. -

Agreed, I think the plan was to switch Kjerstad and Cowser in and out, expecting that each would struggle. Unfortunately for Kjerstad, Cowser came out blazing hot. We will see if it was a Mateo-type heater or if Cowser can stick. He has pushed Hays to the backup role now but Kjerstad still needs one more domino to fall.
