When he has both breaking balls working like he did last night he’s so much fun to watch. Would anyone be surprised if he wins a CYA before his career is over? -

Last April/May we let Mateo and Mullins run wild. Both suffered leg injuries and we backed off of that. However, I think we need to get back to everytime that Mateo is on base he needs to be stealing. Whether that is 2nd or 3rd. Sometimes perfect throws don’t even nail him. There’s more likelihood that the catcher air mails a throw and Mateo gets an extra base than throws him out. Especially when stealing 3rd. -

Great post. It hadn’t even dawned on me that we would get a 27th man. I think we need to go all out to win “Game 1” then see what happens in Game 2. -

I think we’ll get a little more optimism with our hitters when EBJ, Willems, Etzel, Wagner, and Horvath, are all in Bowie and can do enough to get out of the pitcher friendly conditions at A+ Aberdeen, and that league. We also need Rubenstein to start giving Perez the big bucks to start landing top 5-10 int’l classes. Especially with us picking at the end of rd 1 in the USA draft. -
I assume Tate will be 27th man for second game.
