Arietta does just enough to keep the team holding on. At this point, he has no trade value. May aswell just throw him out there. He can't start and he's obviously not going to dominate out of the pen like we thought.

Ofcourse, the O's would jam themselves on a fastball down the middle and pop it up or hit into a dpi. There guys hit it out. And right on cue as I type this, Reynolds strikes out swinging on a fastball right down the middle.

Buck made some miscues tonight which hurt. I don't understand not pinch running at all... but that's sorta ben Buck's MO all season. Good with the bad I guess. This team has a real hard time with the bases loaded. I'm not sure I've seen this type of consistent futility (i.e. scoring less than two runs), but it's not too surprising I guess when you consider that the lineup consistently has holes in it. We live and die with out pitching, which save for one brilliant inning, we got none of tonight. Gotta win tomorrow...

This is going to come down to the final series against th rays and with their pitching we will get swept and miss the playoffs

We will not catch the Yankees because they have been relentless and lose about once a week. That is not our fault, they have more talented players on their roster than we do. Seriously. They may be old, but Jeter, Rodriguez, and Ichiro are first ballot hall of fame talents. Pettitte is borderline.

It would be fine to lose a game here or there, but if the Rays and Angels just decide to stop losing from now on, what can we do?

Even if we lose, its a split doubleheader which in my opinion is a success. The Yankees winning makes this potential loss look worse then it is.

What concerns me is that the Jays may have somewhat woken up from the dead. Seem to have some confidence back with the bats. Bottom line is we have to win the next2. If we don't, we might be in a little bit of trouble.

The old and out of shape Yankees swept a double header against the Jays last week. Why is it somehow beyond our ability to do the same? The Jays are done and they are hurt. We just aren't as good as we would like to be. Fact.

His "in game" stratagies leave ALOT to be desired.

Notice how Farell pinch hit Lind in the 7th inning for Yan Gomes and he got a hit?
