In 2012 he struggled in his first go around in AA with a 4.91 ERA in 12 starts. As for him being a reliever I think that would only be with the Orioles over the next year. Plus he has a 3.38 ERA vs LH, and a 6.89 vs RH.

Overall it hasn't been a very good first half for our pitching options in the high minors. Wright now has a 5.32 ERA. Davies has been hurt. Ed Rod has been hurt and struggled. Yoon has been a disaster. Steve Johnson has been hurt.

I think that ship has sailed. The Orioles should learn from their failed starters of the past and try them as a reliever before they are out of options. Right now he's on Josh Stinson level.
