Fair enough; my own top three would not include Abreu and definitely not Cabrera. I'd give the ROY to Abreu though.

1. Trout - the man on the #1 team in baseball, can't imagine three straight 2nd place finishes.

2. Donaldson - the man on the #2 team in baseball, AL sabermetric leader

3. Cano - quietly living up to the first year of his contract, as expensive as it is. Another serious playoff contender.

While we're at it, my AL CYA top three entering September:

1. Hernandez - simply the best, better than all the rest, the King.

2. Kluber - huge surprise, but he's right there in all the top categories.

3. Sale - being hurt cost him a bit, but can't ignore a 2.03 ERA and 0.93 WHIP.
