Check your emails. I just got my "unfortunately you did not get chosen" email. Well fudge.

Yeah I got that too. I wasn't planning on doing the ALCS too so it doesn't really bother me. I told the wife if they make it to the world series, we're going no matter the cost. That's once in a lifetime stuff right there.

got my rejection letter, good thing i bought from vividseats earlier today. only sucks about vivid is the service fee is not shown with the initial ticket price like stubhub. looks like prices have come down some. btw am i the only one growing a playoff beard or am i just overly superstitious?

I guessed I've got one going too...although I am also extremely lazy and hate shaving.

So what is everyones thinking for the 12PM General Public Sale? Only individual seats available?

I am trying to figure out if I should even try for game 1 or 2 or just go to games 6 and 7.

I can tell you that Game 1 surprisingly had less available than Game 2. In fact, Game 1is basically gone. All I could find was 1 single seat.

I think you're going to be limited to Games 6 and 7, or potentially single seats at 1 and 2.

I have a choice of seats for Game 1 of the ALCS. Would you go with Section 70, Row 15, or Section 10, Row 25? I was in Section 10, Row 17 for ALDS G1 and thought they were pretty good. I've never had seats in 70.

I'd go with section 10. You'll be twisted up a bit with the seats facing CF as opposed to home plate, but it's less severe in 10.

Hey guys, I'm not a big poster on here but I read the board all the time. Not sure if this is the proper place for this but I was lucky enough to win the lottery and bought 4 tickets even though I only need two with the idea that I could help pay off the tickets I need by selling after market (money is tight). Anyway, I have two tickets in Section 7, Row 6. Face value is $110 and cheapest are going for around $200 on stubhub in that section. I'd rather sell them to someone on here who I know is a true fan so I'd sell for a lot cheaper than stubhub ($150). If anyone is interested, PM me.

    • I’d love to have a healthy John Means back.  Is there such a thing as a healthy John Means, and if so, exactly when and for how long?
    • In a recent thread, I mentioned that “we need to keep John Means.” I was utterly astonished that two members responded with the single question of “why?” I can’t imagine not making every effort to retain him. He is one of  only 17 LHSP FAs, he is the second youngest free agent left-handed pitchers available(Max Fried is about 6 months younger.) He’s not going to be expensive, and almost all the other available LHP FAs are either old, mediocre or wildly expensive…or various combinations of same. When he hasn’t been injured, Means has been terrific. Yes, he’s been injured a LOT, but would you rather have Trevor Rogers? Means has positive WAR despite throwing only 20 innings this season.  If we hire him, knowing he won’t come back till August, he will be a very inexpensive insurance policy. If he’s unproductive, well, we’ve got all season to prepare for that, and if he’s productive, we’ve got another excellent pitcher for cheap. This season he’s making under 3.4 mill and can’t expect much as a FA, so maybe a two year contract, for part of ‘25 and all of 26, and then back to FA at 34 if he’s good, and retirement with plenny o’ dough if he’s lousy. But just letting him go would be the height of foolishness, especially after we’ve seen how little worthwhile pitching is available, and how bare is our own cupboard. Bringing him back, injuries and all, is a total no-brainer. What sayeth the crowd?
    • I have to say, Emmanuel Rivera was not impressive defensively at either 1B or 3B yesterday. If that’s what we’re going to get from him defensively, I’d rather let Mayo cut his teeth.
    • They probably are adding him as the extra guy in September so he would be on the roster the rest of the way.  You bring him up now and have to send him back he has to stay down 10 days.  I expect they prefer the couple days now then the 10 days in September.
    • ? He's done for the year with lingering concussion issues.
    • Holliday got more or less the same treatment last year and Henderson too, thought it was an MLB toe dip. Seems like a good way to do it. Really hopeful that Basallo can come up sometime mid way through 2025 and give Adley more of a break.
